Further Changes to Covid19 patient funding from 30th June 2024 ·  After this date Health NZ will transition its health response so it is managed in a similar way to other communicable diseases. Primary Care providers will no longer be able to claim for funded COVID-19 related consultations. Consultations for COVID-19 will be treated like other respiratory illnesses and attract co-payments as for other similar conditions. 

All COVID-19 requirements removed 14 Aug 2023 Effective from 12:01am Tuesday 15 August, 7 day mandatory isolation, wearing of face masks for visitors to healthcare facilities removed.

However, if you do find that you have contracted Covid-19 and need assistance please find below information to help you while you recover from COVID-19.

If you have any medical concerns or problems coping at home, we are here to help. 

• Ring 320 0168 for Stonefields Medical Centre reception, explain you have Covid-19 and our receptionists will arrange for our Covid 19 Nurse/Doctor to call you back as a priority.

• If it is after hours or in the weekend, call Whakarongorau on 0800 358 5453 for advice or Healthline on 0800 611 116 for 24/7 free health advice

If you are very unwell, please call 111 and advise them you are COVID positive first, and then your concerns/symptoms.
